About Me

PC: Mariam R.

Hej, jeg hedder Jennifer.

Two summers ago, as an eager novice philosopher and linguist at UC Berkeley, I envisioned a new dream– to travel to the happiest country in the nation.

Why is there such a measurement for happiness, anyways? How can it be measured? Why is it a hot topic now? What can the realtively “unhappy” countries adopt from the happier countries? Is that even possible given the different political and social structures?

These questions led me to envision my new dream.

Not only was I ignited to make my dream come true, but it was my family, professors, advisors and co-workers who allowed my dream to become a reality.

Today, I am breathing the same air as the happiest individuals in the nation. I am here. I am living my dream.

Now, as I am navigating through the new culture and language of the Danes, I hope to share my firsts and insights with you! Enjoy! 🙂

Thank you, God,  for allowing me to follow my passions and curiosities. You work in such mysterious ways. You continue to amaze me with the people you’ve blessed me with. Please send me your grace and help me stay humble.

Blessed Child of God, Jennifer

  2. Hi. I’m Hosung from Korea. While I was searching for more information about Tietgenkollegiet, which I was interested in during the trip in 2013, I come across your YouTube.

Like you, I’m really interented in Denmark, one of the happiest countries in the world. Fortunately, my Danish friend helps me a lot and I even visited him last year, bringing my own bicycle. While I rode a bike, I could learn a lot of Danish society. Hoping to make Koreans adopt the way of the better life, I started to blog with the article, ‘The reason why Danish bike riders don’t wear helmets’

I hope you could have a great there and find what you had wanted.

    1. Hi Hosung,

Thanks for reaching out! I’m glad you stumbled upon my YouTube video. Yes, thank you!
I had an amazing time in Copenhagen.

I finished my 6-month study abroad program this June, so I am back in California.

      Are you back in Korea?

      1. Yes, I’m in Korea now.

I’m really wondering what you experienced in Copenhagen. I hope I can see or read your story someday.

        Take care.

      2. Thank you for taking interest in my experience.

I do plan to heavily update my page and post more videos of my trip. I’ve been so caught up with job searching and school.

I will do my best to update more soon!

        Stay tuned!

        Thanks, take care!

        All the best,
